If your data is
in any of these formats, we can
target your files and convert
data to your
specifications.

your data resides in a corporate database, a popular method for
supplying us with your data is by querying
your database to import into an Excel file. Several
software
applications are available to simplify your sql queries, such
as Microsoft Query. You can also create Visual Basic
macros in Excel to retrieve external data. To gain access
to an internal data source with a Visual Basic macro, you must
first
install the Data Access Objects (DAO) for Visual Basic.

Standard Solutions
We have developed in-house methods for
extracting data
from most accounting programs,
including Peachtree and
Quickbooks (see the
pull-down above). For information on

PDF Files
We can use PDF files for conversion purposes.
If
you have a commercial version of Acrobat or
another product that allows you to print to a PDF
file, you can send us your data in this format.
We can work with any pdf format, including image-only pdf files.

Note: You may also be able to Save As.. to a
pdf or other format which we can convert.
If your program isn't listed here,
what export
functions does it have?
We can convert ASCII -delimited, any fixed
format, and
can create templates to convert
report files or files printed to disk (.prn files).
If no existing method is available for your
format, we may be
able to design a custom
solution for you.
Misc.
In the course of our business, we've had a few
customers who have lost their original information return
data, but who still have the
electronic file as submitted to IRS or SSA.
We can convert any W-2, 1099, or 1042-S
electronic file to a manageable format, such
as PDF, Excel, or other format (1994-present).

Text/Report files |
Text Files:
We can extract record data from ASCII text files
such as
printouts and reports, email, EDI
documents, tagged and marked
up text (e.g.,
SGML, XML, and HTML), EBCDIC printouts,
report files and more.
We do this by examining the unfielded data and
producing as many logical rules as required to
define the
report. Pattern recognition and data
manipulation are
used to extract structured data
records, which are
subsequently parsed and
converted to produce the required
format.
Manual editing is implemented
if required - we
have an abundance of
tools for use on text and
binary data.
Prn files:
We can convert
your prn files for W-2, 1099's, 1042,
and other standardized forms. We
use proprietary
software to convert generic .prn files to a
convertible
format. Prn files are basically text files which
have
printed from Windows using their generic FILE
printer.
